ABSTRACT
The present study has the objective of analyzing the relationship of music to facilitateteaching and learning of a foreign language (English) in the classroom and itsinfluence on the behavior of youth. To reach these objectives and collect thenecessary data, first a questionnaire was administered to the students in the first yearof middle school, and then structured activities based on the lyrics of songs, the firstof which was selected by the teacher, and afterwards by the students themselves.The project succeeded in demonstrating how much music awakens the interest of(motivates) the student in learning English and provides evidence that the teachersshould and need to be aware of this. In accordance with the results obtained, it ispossible to combine enjoyment and learning at the same time and that music is notmerely a pastime, but is actually of great value in the learning of the students.
